AG Asks Feds to Treat Opioid Industry as Criminal Enterprise

Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter has sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions asking that the federal government pursue opioid manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. The letter comes after Sessions was in Oklahoma last week to discuss criminal justice issues across the country.
