Changes to the Healthcare Provider Reimbursement Manual recommended by the Division of Workers’ Compensation will increase system costs by $4 million annually, according to an analysis by the National Council on Compensation Insurance.
The division announced Friday that it is recommending changes to Maximum Reimbursement Allowances to incorporate Medicare’s 2018 update to its conversion factors and geographic-specific reimbursement levels. The proposal will be considered by the Three-Member Panel during a meeting at the J. Edwin Larson Building in Tallahassee at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
