Industrial Commission Scraps Drug Formulary

The North Carolina Industrial Commission has abandoned plans to establish a drug formulary to aid in the fight against opioid abuse. “The commission will not be pursuing a drug formulary at this time, absent clear direction from the General Assembly,” emailed Kendall M. Bourdon, the agency’s rule-making coordinator and legislative liaison. The commission did not respond to questions of why it had dumped the formulary.
