Worker Gets Probation, Restitution Order After Pleading Guilty to Theft

A Northern California nursery worker was ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution and serve one year of probation after pleading guilty to one count of grand theft for exaggerating the extent of her injuries, Intercare Holdings Insurance Services announced. Margarita Soto-Gomez pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor theft charge Monday and was immediately sentenced. She paid the $3,000 restitution order at the time of sentencing, according to Intercare.
