Cyanide is commonly released during structure fires and is poisonous to anyone who breathes it, warns a new coalition that wants better training and protection for the nation's firefighters. The Cyanide Poisoning Treatment Coalition (CPTC) is a nonprofit organization whose members include representatives of fire, medical and industry organizations.
