A Missouri appellate court last week ruled that an employer failed to present an appropriate challenge to a worker’s award of permanent total disability benefits but could avoid some liability for a portion of the medical expenses.
The case was Customer Engineering Services v. Odom.
Mark Odom worked for Customer Engineering Services, installing photo lab equipment. He suffered injuries in June 2012 while moving a 250-pound photo printer.
CES provided Odom with medical treatment, including surgery to repair his biceps tendon, and physical therapy.
