Metairie Post Office Becomes OSHA 'Star'

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration welcomed the U.S. Postal Service main post office in Metairie, La., into the Voluntary Protection Programs at the "star" level during a ceremony held Tuesday at the facility on 17th Street. The post office provides full retail customer service operations six days a week, has a 24-hour lobby with access to 2,394 postal boxes and maintains 74 city mail delivery routes.
