Companies Sued Over Alleged Scam of 9/11 Responders, NFL Players

The New York Attorney General’s Office and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau have filed a lawsuit against a company that allegedly scammed 9/11 first responders out of payments intended to cover their medical costs and lost income. The lawsuit was filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against RD Legal Funding LLC, two related entities, and Roni Dersovitz, the companies’ founder and owner.
