The medical director of an Indiana state hospital who was charged this week with insurance billing fraud was found dead Wednesday, the Associated Press reported.
Dr. David B. Kennedy was charged Monday with six counts of Medicaid fraud and nine counts of insurance fraud. Prosecutors also filed a corrupt business influence charge against Kennedy, who was the medical director for Logansport State Hospital.
Authorities in Indiana charged him, after an audit of his outside private practice, alleging that he billed the state and private insurers for 24 hours of sessions in a single day.
