Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has appointed attorney John Sims to the Workers’ Compensation Board of Magistrates.
Sims’ appointment is for a four-year term ending Jan. 26, 2021. The appointment is subject to Senate approval.
Sims is the president of Sims and Stern P.C. in Marshall, Michigan. He has been a practitioner of workers' compensation law for 40 years. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science, history and literature from the University of Michigan, and a law degree from Wayne State University Law School.
