Industrial Commission Schedules Hearing on Electronic Payment Rules

The Idaho Industrial Commission is holding a hearing this week on proposed rules that would allow employers to pay indemnity benefits using debit cards. Proposed rules would allow carriers and self-insured employers to pay benefits using an “access card,” which is defined as any card that can be used to initiate an electronic transfer from an employer’s bank account.
