Doctor Suspended From Treating Injured Workers Following Tax Fraud

The New York State Workers' Compensation Board has revoked the authorization of Dr. Avelino Rosales to treat injured workers in the state workers’ comp system, effective immediately. The revocation was based upon a consent order issued by the New York State Department of Health's State Board for Professional Medical Conduct, effective June 11. The order found that Rosales committed professional misconduct due to his misdemeanor conviction of tax fraud under state tax law.
