A federal jury convicted a Texas postal worker of theft of public money for submitting $46,000 in false travel reimbursement claims for treatment of an on-the-job injury.
Lisa Yvette Coffman, of Humble, Texas, has worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 29 years when she was injured on the job in 2011. Prosecutors say she submitted reimbursement claims for a travel to medical appointments that were far in excess of the actual number of trips that she made.
