DWC Reminds Carriers, Trading Partners of EDI Requirements

The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation has issued a reminder to insurance carriers that new requirements for submitting data on medical bills and payment actions become effective on Sept. 1.Workers' Compensation Commissioner Rod Bordelon adopted the requirements on June 20, amending Chapter 28, Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Section 134.802 and adding new Secs. 134.800, 134.801, and 134.803 through 134.808, regarding insurance carrier medical electronic data interchange (EDI) reporting."Insurance carriers are reminded of important provisions contained in the adopted rules," the r...
