Company to Appeal Order That Regulators Say Leaves Employers Without Coverage

American Labor Alliance plans to appeal a cease-and-desist order that California insurance and labor commissioners said leaves some employers without valid workers’ compensation coverage. Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones last week adopted a decision finding American Labor Alliance and CompOne USA, both affiliates of Agricultural Contracting Services Associates Inc., were not licensed to sell workers’ compensation coverage in California.
