Cora Harrington pleaded guilty to fraudulent practices in the second degree, a felony, on June 25, the Iowa Insurance Division said. She was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay restitution.

The division said Harrington altered the names of parties involved in insurance claims and created payments under the fictitious names, which she deposited in her bank account.

Harrington’s LinkedIn pages states that she is a senior claims adjuster for State Farm in Des Moines, specializing in complex body injury claims with litigation. She has worked for the carrier for 19 years.
