The Idaho Industrial Commission has proposed a rule that will broaden access to a fund that reimburses employers that pay full salary to law-enforcement officers while they are recuperating from on-duty injuries. The rule amendment implements House Bill 570, passed by the state Legislature this year, which added injuries that are caused by the actions of another person to the types of injuries that are eligible for reimbursement from the Peace Officer and Detention Officer Temporary Disability Reimbursement Fund.
