California’s largest workers’ compensation carrier wants to introduce about 5,000 utilization review decisions to disprove accusations that it participated in a corrupt enterprise that used blanket denials and intimated physicians as part of a conspiracy to drive the manufacturer of an electrical stimulation device out of business.
But Electronic Waveform Lab is asking the U.S. District Court for Central California to block State Compensation Insurance Fund from presenting the decisions during the trial scheduled to begin Oct. 24.
