The New York Workers' Compensation Board has made dozens of changes to the state's drug formulary, one month before the prescribing restrictions are set to take effect.
The board announced Tuesday that it had adopted the changes on an emergency basis to cover medications that had not been addressed by the medical treatment guidelines. The amendments to the eight-page formulary chart will be published in the Nov. 20 State Register, and stakeholders will be able to make comments until Jan. 20, the board chairman said in the bulletin.
