Court Says PEO Can't Recover Money from Failed Carrier's Estate

The Washington state Court of Appeals on Monday affirmed a lower court decision finding failed professional employer organization Certified HR Services Inc. did not prove it is entitled to $4.3 million from the estate of the failed Cascade National Insurance Co.The appellate court also said the trial court did not abuse its discretion in denying a motion for discovery by James Feltman, trustee of the estate for Certified HR Services.
