Federal officials are seeking the return of $150,000 in workers' compensation benefits paid to a former Chelsea, Maine, selectwoman accused of bribery and extortion, the Kennebec Journal reported.The newspaper said the U.S. Labor Department is seeking the return of workers' compensation benefits paid to Carole Swan, a former member of the Chelsea Board of Selectmen, in connection with federal charges that she used her town position to extort $20,000 from a local construction company.Swan, 54, was indicted last March by a federal grand jury on charges of extortion and making false state...
