Arizona Proposing 15% Cut in Pharmacy Fee Schedule

The Arizona Industrial Commission is recommending reducing prescription drug prices in its pharmacy fee schedule by up to 15% because a rule passed in 2005 to encourage the use of generics hasn't done enough to hold down cost increases.The commission is recommending reducing the fee schedule by discounting 15% from the average wholesale price for generic drugs and 5% for brand-name drugs.
