When attorneys began coming into Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission courtrooms with flash drives, hoping to share a video saved on the device during a hearing, staff initially didn’t know what to tell them.
“We didn’t have the capabilities to use modern technology,” MWCC secretary Stacey Roig said.
The staff would bring in a laptop to allow attorneys to show the video, but overall “it wasn’t an easy, seamless process,” Roig said.
