Not well reported in the press, President Clinton, in one of his final days in office, issued Executive Order 13,187 establishing the President's Disability Employment Partnership Board. The order issued January 10, 2001. The new Board is responsibile for developing a comprehensive written plan for joint public-private efforts to promote employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Last year President Clinton set a goal for the federal government to hire 100,000 individuals with disabilities over the next five years.
