The Supreme Court of Tennessee at Knoxville held that where a party acts as a homeowner's agent in overseeing in a construction project, the homeowner's exemption applies thus excluding workers' compensation benefits. In Bostic v. Dalton, No. 00-374, 01/7/2005, Ms. Dalton authorized Paul Dalton (Dalton), her father, to assist in the construction of her house, but did not compensate him for his services.
