The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has filed a consumer protection action against drug company Purdue Pharma for alleged unfair or deceptive marketing and business practices related to its opioid Oxycontin.
In a 100-page civil complaint filed Tuesday in the Merrimack County Superior Court, the AG’s office alleges that Purdue has significantly downplayed the serious risk of addiction posed by Oxycontin and other products.
