An Arlington woman was sentenced to probation by a Travis County district court for workers’ compensation fraud.
Sharon Boachie received workers' compensation benefits after claiming she was unable to work because of an injury she suffered as a cashier for Ad A Staff Inc. Texas Mutual Insurance Co. said in a statement that it discovered Boachie was working elsewhere while receiving injury-related benefits.
Boachie was convicted of a Class A misdemeanor and sentenced to one year of probation for double dipping. She paid Texas Mutual $3,072.14 in restitution.
