Jeff Atwater, State CFO, to Resign for University Job

The man who oversees the state's financials will resign later this year to take a job at Florida Atlantic University, his office announced on Friday. Jeff Atwater will leave his post as Florida's chief financial officer after the legislative session ends, more than a year before his term is set to expire. Republican Gov. Rick Scott will appoint an interim replacement to serve until next year's election.
