Calif. 2nd Backs Discovery in Possible Class Action

A California appellate court has given a Southern California attorney the green light to proceed with a possible class action lawsuit that seeks $1 billion in damages for alleged underpayment of benefits to injured workers. The Second District Court of Appeal in denying a petition by defendants in Zurich U.S. v. Workers' Compensation Appeals Board paved the way for discovery, according to Encino attorney Nick Kazandjieff.
