The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth (DLEG) announced the Walbridge Aldinger Co. will receive an award Tuesday from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) for achieving an outstanding safety and health record at the U.S. Postal Service northeast metro construction project in Pontiac, Mich.
MIOSHA (which is part of DLEG) reported Walbridge Aldinger logged an unprecedented number of hours without a lost-time accident -- currently more than three million.
The ceremony is set for 11 a.m. at the construction site at 711 N. Glenwood.
