An auto parts manufacturer in Auburn, Alabama, has been cited for federal safety violations after someone complained that employees were not properly protected while entering injection molding machines.
Arkal Automotive USA Inc. was cited on July 17 by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for allegedly exposing workers to electrical and amputation hazards. The company, which faces $47,857 in proposed penalties, has 15 business days to contest the citations.
