The South Carolina legislature has passed a measure that would give some flexibility on where workers' compensation hearings can be held, saving the agency some drive time but perhaps costing injured workers a bit more.
House Bill 5153 passed the House in March and was tweaked in the Senate in April. The House concurred with the minor changes last week, passing it 91-0. The measure now goes to the governor.
