A New York state construction worker has been charged with insurance fraud after he was caught doing masonry work while collecting workers' compensation benefits for an industrial injury, the New York State Insurance Fund announced Thursday.
The Suffolk County Insurance Crime Bureau on Monday arrested Michael Christie, 42, of Patchogue, N.Y. He was charged with violating section 114 of the state's workers' compensation law, a felony.
