Alex Sink, who takes over as Florida's chief financial officer next month, has named a veteran South Florida banker and a longtime state official to top posts in the Department of Financial Services (DFS).
Sink's chief of staff will be Jim Cassady, a 33-year banker who serves as the Broward County President of Bank of America.
Cassady also chaired the board of directors and the board of governors of the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Chamber of Commerce.
