A communications contractor has been cited for federal safety violations after three workers were killed while trying to install a new antenna on a communications tower in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Tower King II Inc., of Cedar Hill, Texas, was cited on March 22 for one serious violation by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The company faces $12,934 in proposed penalties, the maximum allowed under law, the agency said. Tower King has 15 business days to contest the citation.
