An Ohio trial court judge on Tuesday threw out a former fraud investigator's discrimination claim against the state Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
Doug Hunter was fired in July 2010. He then sued the BWC, claiming he had been terminated in retaliation for protesting an alleged directive by his supervisor to stop investigating workers who had used false Social Security numbers to obtain benefits.
Hunter also claimed he was the victim of reverse racial discrimination. Hunter, who is white, alleged his supervisors had granted preferential treatment to two of his black colleagues.
