The California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board rejected petitions from embattled lien representative Daniel Escamilla seeking a change of venue and denying his lawyer's motion to be removed as counsel, but postponed a scheduled Jan. 27 hearing to give him time to find a new attorney.The board also rejected Escamilla's plea to have an attorney assigned to represent him at the hearing.Escamilla, of Legal Service Bureau in Santa Ana, faces a possible suspension or revocation of his rights to appear before administrative law judges because he has been sanctioned 11 times since 2003...
