A Senate committee on Wednesday unanimously passed House Bill 26, which would require the state’s Industrial Commission to notify all the lawyers who represented an injured worker when it approves attorney fees.
The Senate Rules and Operations Committee approved the proposed legislation, which passed the House unanimously on Feb. 16.
“It’s not real substantial, but I’m happy to see it move forward and am confident it will pass the full Senate next week,” said Rep. Sam Watford, R-Davidson.
