A rule adopted this week by the New Jersey Department of Human Services clarifies that community facilities for head injury patients must follow workers’ compensation rules for employees.
The new rule says that personnel practices at the facilities shall comply with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including those pertaining to civil rights, retirement plans, Social Security, minimum wages, hours and worker's compensation.
