A workers' compensation claim filed by a night club disc jockey led to a forgery charge against an events promoter who allegedly submitted a fraudulent certificate of insurance, the California Insurance Department said Friday.
Carlos Rojas, 33, of Huntington Beach, surrendered Thursday to the Los Angeles Police Department on a warrant obtained by Insurance Department detectives and is facing a felony charge of forgery.
