Two owners of a Nassau County food-processing plant have been sentenced for failing to pay overtime and minimum wages, the New York Attorney General’s Office announced Tuesday.
Roy S. Tuccillo Sr. and Roy Tuccillo Jr., who ran Diversified Processors Inc. and Processors Inc., a meat-processing facility in Westbury, stole $120,555 from 10 workers from 2013 to 2017, prosecutors said.
An investigation revealed that Tuccillo Sr. and Tuccillo Jr.:
Told workers that they would be paid only for their first 40 hours of work per week, even though they often worked 60 or more hours.
