Report Shows Increase in Electronic Filing

The Kansas Division of Workers' Compensation reported use of its electronic data interchange (EDI) system has exceeded expectations and resulted in approximately one-third of all original accident reports being filed electronically in fiscal year 2006. The division's annual statistical report for the past fiscal year noted "EDI has been well received by Kansas employers and insurers, exceeding our own expectations, with more than 40 trading partners submitting data on behalf of more than 200 insurance carriers and self-insured employers."
