They're Shameless, and now they're facing charges.
The owners of Shameless Trucking and Shameless Towing, based in Fulton, New York, have been charged with insurance fraud after allegedly failing to pay more than $319,000 in workers' compensation insurance premiums, according to State Police.
Audits by the New York State Insurance Fund, along with bank records and interviews with employees who said they were paid in cash, led to the arrest of Ralph and Amy Stoutenger, the police announced. The Insurance Fund is a government-run workers' compensation insurance carrier.
The investigation covered three years of activity, from 2014 to 2017, the State Police said. The Stoutengers are set to appear in court May 24.
