The Colorado House of Representatives passed a bill that would add to the list of Level I treating physicians advanced practice nurses who have prescription authority.
All providers treating injured workers in Colorado are "strongly recommended" to have Level I accreditation from the state’s Division of Workers’ Compensation, according to Outreach and Education Supervisor Jackie Jackson. Only medical doctors and doctors of osteopathy are allowed to receive Level II accreditation, allowing them to rate impairments.
