Four garment contractors who lacked workers’ compensation insurance were among six cited by state labor officials for trying to skirt state law by sharing a registration, the Labor Commissioner’s Office announced Wednesday.
The Division of Labor Standards Enforcement issued some $573,700 fines in total for a variety of violations, including overtime, minimum wage and child labor offenses.
