Board Finalizing Procedure for Submitting Proposed Settlements

The Indiana Workers’ Compensation Board on Tuesday put practitioners on notice that it will soon adopt a new protocol for submitting settlement agreements. The board said in an emailed announcement that it is working with the state Office of Technology to perfect the procedure and expects to finalize the protocol in 30 to 45 days. In the meantime, it asked that practitioners start using its new checklist to prepare settlements for submission for board approval.
