The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited Dollar Tree Stores Inc. for allegedly exposing workers to fire hazards by locking an emergency exit at a Dallas location.
The national discount retailer faces $129,336 in proposed penalties from the citations, which were issued July 26.
OSHA inspected the store in February after receiving a referral from a whistleblower investigator claiming unsafe working conditions. The agency cited the company for one willful violation for locking an emergency exit.
