DWC Announces 3.6% Increase in TTD Benefits

Wednesday, June 21, 2017 | 0

The Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that temporary total disability benefits in 2018 will increase by 3.6%.

The maximum TTD benefit will increase to $1,215.27 per week, from $1,172.57, on Jan. 1. The minimum benefit will increase to $182.29, from $175.88.

The increases are required by the Labor Code, which calls for annual changes in temporary total disability benefits that are commensurate with the change in the average weekly wage. The average weekly wage for the 12-month period ending March 31 increased to $1,206.92, from $1,164.51.

The division also said workers injured on or after Jan. 1, 2003, who are receiving life pension or permanent total disability benefits are also entitled to have their weekly benefits increased based on changes to the average weekly wage.
