Medical Unit Accepting Applications for Oct. 19 QME Exam

The Division of Workers’ Compensation’s Medical Unit is accepting applications for the Oct. 19 qualified medical evaluator examination. Providers interested in taking the test must submit applications postmarked by Sept. 5 and pay a non-refundable $125 fee to sit for the exam. Qualified medical evaluators certified by the DWC’s Medical Unit examine injured workers to evaluate disability and write medical-legal reports used to determine an injured worker's eligibility for benefits.
