Bill on Reimbursement, Interlocutory Orders Passes

The Texas House of Representatives Wednesday amended and approved Senate-passed legislation setting out procedures for reimbursing workers' compensation insurance carriers through the Subsequent Injury Fund for overpayments resulting from designated doctor opinions which are overturned. The House added an amendment setting requirements for entering interlocutory orders on benefits. Senate Bill 1169 by Sen. Kyle Janek, R-Houston, received preliminary approval on a voice vote.
